Energy feasibility and system design · Pakistan

Independent energy studies before you invest

Rawan Energy models solar, battery, generator and hybrid systems for businesses, farms and development programmes. You get a clear answer on system size, cost per unit and payback, based on your own site data and current local tariffs.

  • Independent of equipment suppliers. We do not sell panels or inverters.
  • Built on Pakistani tariffs, net-metering rules and diesel prices.
  • Standard studies take 7 to 10 working days.

Services

Studies sized to the decision in front of you

Each study combines an engineering model with a financial one, so the result is a decision, not just a system size.

Commercial and industrial solar

Rooftop and ground-mount systems for factories, offices, schools and hospitals. Includes yield simulation, net-metering cash flow and roof layout.

Deliverable: feasibility report with sizing, yield, payback and risks

Solar tubewells and agriculture

Pump and array sizing for irrigation, compared with diesel and grid pumping across the cropping season.

Deliverable: sizing sheet, water and energy balance, payback comparison

Hybrid, off-grid and mini-grids

Least-cost combinations of solar, battery and generator for sites with unreliable or no grid supply, from single buildings to village mini-grids.

Deliverable: optimised configuration, dispatch summary and lifecycle cost

Performance and energy audits

Review of meter and inverter data for systems producing less than expected, and energy-use audits for industrial sites including waste heat.

Deliverable: expected versus actual yield, causes and corrective actions

Inside a report

Numbers your bank, buyer or board can check

Every report states its assumptions and data sources, so anyone can review the result. Typical outputs:

Specific yieldkWh/kWp per year
Levelised costPKR per kWh
Simple paybackyears
Net present valuePKR
Grid or diesel offsetkWh per year
Emissions avoidedt CO₂ per year
  1. Executive summaryRecommendation, system size, cost and payback on one page
  2. Site and demandLoad profile from bills or logged data, roof or land assessment
  3. Energy resourceSolar irradiance and temperature from satellite datasets
  4. System design optionsTwo or three configurations compared side by side
  5. Financial analysisCapital cost, savings, cash flow, payback, NPV and sensitivity
  6. Risks and next stepsTechnical, tariff and financing risks, and a procurement checklist

Process

From your bills to a decision in four steps

  1. Brief and data

A short call, then you share 12 months of bills, photos and equipment details.

  2. Resource and load

We build your demand profile and match it to local solar and weather data.

  3. Modelling

Options are simulated and costed in industry-standard tools.

  4. Report and review

You receive the report and a walkthrough call to answer questions.

Who we work with

For the people who fund, sell and use energy systems

Businesses and industry

Cut grid and diesel costs with a system sized to real demand.

Farms and agribusiness

Move irrigation off diesel with a pump system that matches the crop calendar.

Solar installers

Give customers an independent study that supports the sale.

NGOs and programmes

Energy-access assessments for clinics, schools and off-grid communities.

About

Engineering analysis, written clearly

Rawan means flowing in Urdu, as energy should flow from source to user without waste. The firm was founded in 2026 by Yasir Mahmood, a mechanical engineer from Air University, Islamabad.

His background covers thermodynamics, heat transfer, power plant analysis and numerical modelling in MATLAB, together with the University of Colorado Boulder Renewable Energy Specialization. He has also written technical content for engineering audiences for three years, including work for Supplyframe and Wevolver, so every report is written for the person paying for the system, not only for engineers.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you sell or install solar systems?

No. We only provide studies and design advice. That keeps our recommendations independent of any brand or supplier, and you can take the report to any installer for quotes.

What does a study cost?

It depends on the site and the number of options compared. We send a fixed quote after a short call, before any work starts.

What information do you need from me?

Usually 12 months of electricity bills or diesel records, photos of the roof or land, and details of major equipment. For tubewells, the pump power, water depth and daily running hours.

Can you work with sites outside Punjab?

Yes. Most of the modelling is done remotely with satellite resource data. Site visits are available in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock and nearby districts.

Will the report help with bank financing?

The report sets out assumptions, data sources and cash flows in a form lenders can review. Final requirements depend on the bank, so share their checklist with us at the start.

Request a feasibility study

Email a short description of your site. We reply within two working days with questions and a fixed quote. It helps to include:

  • Location and type of site
  • Recent electricity bills or diesel use
  • Roof or field photos with rough dimensions
  • Your goal: lower bills, backup power or full off-grid
